You’re not broken. You’re overwhelmed…
And you’re tired of holding it all together. Even after doing everything “right,” life still feels too heavy.
You’re a mom trying to stay strong for your kids, even though you’re exhausted.
You’re a woman quietly carrying grief, anxiety, or burnout while everyone else sees your smile.
Or you’re the parent of a child who’s struggling, and you can’t quite name what’s wrong.
You just know something’s off.
It’s okay if you can’t put words to it.
Just come to my office or log into our virtual session as you are.
No need to be calm, polished… or even hopeful.
You just need to show up.
And from there, we begin.
Together. Slowly… and gently.
Therapy here doesn’t mean digging through every painful memory all at once.
It’s creating space for honesty –
For your nervous system to exhale.
For your story to be held with care.
For learning new ways to respond to anxiety, grief, and self-doubt.
It’s not about “fixing” you.
As I said, you’re not broken.
Rather, we’re going to dig into your life so you can understand the patterns that no longer serve you.
I’ll then give you the tools to be yourself.
You’ll laugh at times… and you might cry here and there.
But you’ll ultimately learn to trust yourself again.
For kids, therapy often looks like play, storytelling, or art.
Not because they can’t talk… but because they already ARE through their actions, energy, and themes. Play is the language they use to express themselves.
Here, children feel safe enough to explore what’s behind the tantrums, the silence, or the big feelings.
And I’ll support you, too, of course…
Because healing a child happens in connection, not in isolation.
For teens, therapy is a unique space.
It’s where they don’t have to perform, achieve, or explain. They can just BE.
We’ll build trust.
We’ll explore their inner world.
And we’ll practice emotional skills that last far beyond therapy.
For women, it’s about finding yourself again.
It’s too easy to get lost when life pulls you in so many directions.
I hold space for your pain, your questions, and your growth – at your pace, with your values guiding the work.
Over time, you’ll feel more grounded… more confident… more like yourself.
Not because life is suddenly easy… but because you’ve learned to meet it with clarity, compassion, and courage.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Healing isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up for yourself with compassion, even when it feels hard.
If you’re ready to start making positive changes, I’d love to support you in the process.
Let’s take that first step together.

About Jennifer Green, PhD, LPCC
At the heart of my work is that everyone belongs and is valued.
I’m here to help people reclaim their peace, clarity, and sense of self.
I’m passionate about supporting women, children, and families through life’s toughest transitions.
Life can be chaotic, overwhelming, and full of unexpected twists, and I believe we all deserve to feel grounded and confident – no matter what we’re facing.
My work allows me to be part of that journey, helping people find their strength and purpose in even the most uncertain of times.
Some of my professional background…
I have a PhD in counselor education and supervision, and I’m a licensed therapist in California with telehealth credentials in Idaho. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of special education as an infant developmental specialist.
I’m trained in several therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Certified in Mindfulness, and Play Therapy for children. I’m also a Certified Grief Educator.
But I don’t just bring credentials into our work together. I bring my heart and lived experience. I’ve learned that the most powerful tool in therapy is trust, and that trust starts with both of us being real.
At Sierra Oak Counseling, we take a warm, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy.
We meet each individual where they are, honoring their unique experiences and personal goals.
Our clinicians are trained in a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and more.
We’re dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive environment where healing and growth can take root. With kindness and honesty, we provide thoughtful feedback to support meaningful transformation.
When I’m not in session…
You’ll find me riding motorcycles with my husband, walking my dog, Buddy, or hitting the gym to clear my head.
I’m a big believer in self-care and take my own advice seriously.
I’m also a proud mom of adult children. Spending time with them is one of my greatest joys. Whether I’m reading, traveling, or just hanging out with family, I try to live intentionally and with purpose, just as I encourage my clients to do.
